This elegantly raised mandala set is made of copper and decorated with hand painted cloisonne.You can see Ashtamangala (Eight Auspicious symbols) such as golden fishes, umbrella, Dharma wheel etc on the different tiers of the mandala.

Mandala Offering is a preliminary practice for accumulating merit, in which one symbolically offers the entire universe to the field of merit. Mandala is used as an offering made to a spiritual teacher in request for a teaching, the conferring of a set of vows, and for the conferring of a tantric empowerment. It is also necessary in Ngondro Practice to make Mandala Offering.
